Learning Green Transition
Learning Green Transition
February 23, 2026
These guidelines on green transition include informational and educational materials designed for young people, students, teachers, and anyone interested in:
- Climate Change, one of the most significant challenges facing our planet
- Sustainable Agriculture, how agriculture can ensure food security while protecting the environment
- Energy Sources, their evolution and the future of sustainable energy
- Biodiversity and Nature‑based Solutions, modern approaches to nature conservation and the importance of biodiversity
- Waste Management and Circular Economy, responsible waste management and sustainable consumption
- Sustainable Resource Management, the rational use of natural resources and their preservation for future generations
The brochures present complex information in clear and accessible language, enabling every reader to understand the issues discussed and recognize their role in addressing them.
Brochure on Climate Change: Causes, Consequences, and Solutions
Readers will learn about the causes of climate change, including greenhouse gases, fossil fuel combustion, deforestation, agricultural impacts, and waste management problems. The document provides detailed coverage of the consequences of climate change across various sectors: the natural environment and biodiversity; agriculture and food security; water resources; human health; the economy and infrastructure; and tourism and urban life.
The publication presents concrete solutions to climate change at both the societal level (mitigation and adaptation) and the individual level, highlighting practical actions through which each reader can contribute to combat climate change in their daily lives.
Brochure on Sustainable Agriculture
Readers will learn about the foundations and evolution of agriculture, and about the role it plays in food security, the economy, and ecosystems. The document provides an overview of contemporary challenges, including the world’s growing population, climate change, resource constraints, and social inequality.
The publication addresses the future of agriculture, including urban and vertical farming, alternative protein sources, and the circular economy in food production.
Brochure on Renewable and Non‑Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency
The brochure introduces readers to non‑renewable resources -coal, natural gas, oil, and nuclear energy; their formation, use, and negative environmental impacts. Readers will also learn about renewable energy sources such as solar, wind, hydropower, geothermal, and biomass energy as sustainable alternatives.
Special attention is devoted to energy efficiency as a practice of rational energy use. Readers will learn about household, transportation, and industrial energy‑efficiency measures that promote energy savings and cost reductions.
Brochure on Biodiversity Conservation and Nature‑based Solutions (NbS)
Readers will learn about the essence of biodiversity — genetic, species, and ecosystem diversity. The brochure describes the main threats to biodiversity, including habitat loss and fragmentation, climate change, overexploitation, invasive species, and pollution.
Readers will also learn about the concept of Nature‑based Solutions (NbS) as a modern and effective approach that harnesses the power of ecosystems to address environmental, social, and economic challenges.
Brochure on Waste Management and Circular Economy
Readers will learn about waste types and classification: non‑hazardous, hazardous, and inert waste - their characteristics, and environmental impacts. The brochure explains how waste pollution affects human health and the economy.
Special attention is devoted to the waste management chain- collection, transportation, sorting, processing, and disposal, the role and significance of each stage. Readers will learn about the concept of the circular economy as an alternative to the linear economy (“take‑make‑use‑dispose”). The brochure describes the three core principles of circular thinking: preventing waste from the design stage, keeping products and materials in circulation, and regenerating natural systems.
Brochure on Sustainable Resource Management
The brochure offers a comprehensive overview of sustainable resource management. Readers will learn about the concept of sustainability - environmental, social, and economic, and how these three dimensions interact.
The document provides detailed coverage of the United Nations’ 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and their connection to resource management. The brochure describes ecosystems and natural cycles, including types of ecosystem services (provisioning, regulating, supporting, and cultural) and key nutrient cycles such as carbon, nitrogen, and water cycles.
Special attention is devoted to human impact on the environment- ecological footprints, unsustainable resource use, and the effects of climate change. Readers will also learn about the core principles of sustainable resource management: efficiency, equity, renewability, precaution, and adaptability.
