This training package is designed to provide a toolkit (including both contents and methods) to train businesses in Viet Nam and beyond on the fundamental knowledge of responsible business – the global mega trend and standards of doing business in a way that generates Profit and respects People and our Planet. The awareness raising on RBP is in light of the National Action Plan on RBP adopted by the Government of Viet Nam (Decision 843/QD-TTg dated on 14 July 2023).

The target learners of this training package could be CEOs, management and executive leadership of departments managing business/ human resources/ supply chains, sustainability/ corporate social responsibility/ risk management/ legal and compliance, business students, future business leaders and business associations.
The training courses delivered under the framework detailed in this package facilitate the understanding of the concepts of responsible business, UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights (UNGPs) as well as steps and practices of conducting Human Rights Due Diligence (HRDD). This is the starting point for businesses to initiate their own strategies and actions, not only doing business responsibly but also complying with various standards such as responsible business conduct (RBC), sustainability due diligence and environmental, social and governance (ESG).
The training package was developed through the collaboration of experts from UNDP Viet Nam and the National Economics University (NEU) within the framework of the project “Promoting Responsible Business Conduct with a particular focus on promoting human rights due diligence in global supply chains and leveraging the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights (UNGPs) for a just recovery”.
