Main results of the uranium legacy remediation activities in Uzbekistan

EU funded “Stakeholder engagement in Uranium legacy remediation in Central Asia. Phase II” project is implemented by UNDP Uzbekistan jointly with OSCE and the Ministry of Emergency Situation of Uzbekistan.

The project aims to increase awareness of local decision-makers and community members about the uranium waste risks and to reduce these risks through implementation of gender sensitive economic development initiatives.
