The report provides an analysis of the existing instruments used in Uzbekistan to integrate climate and green priorities into the strategic planning and budgetary processes, and identifies the needs and opportunities for further mainstreaming green priorities into legislation, regulatory processes, investment planning, budgeting, financing, and other relevant policy frameworks.

The findings and recommendations of the report informed a set of targeted reforms aimed at strengthening the integration of climate and green priorities into Uzbekistan’s strategic planning and budgeting framework. The proposed recommendations seek to enhance policy coherence and implementation outcomes, as well as strengthen climate-informed budgeting decisions aligned with Uzbekistan’s development objectives.
