UNDP Uzbekistan Staff Complete CIPS Level 2 Training in Tashkent
October 9, 2025
From 15 to 18 September 2025, UNDP Uzbekistan Country Office and projects strengthened their procurement capacity by organizing a UNDP/CIPS Introductory Certificate in Public Procurement (Level 2) training in Tashkent. Delivered by Yuriy Silaev, the four-day course brought together 19 staff members from programme and operations units to deepen their knowledge of UNDP procurement rules, procedures, and international best practices.
The training combined theory with practical exercises, helping participants strengthen their skills across the entire procurement cycle — from planning and risk assessment to evaluation and contract management. It created a shared understanding of UNDP’s procurement framework and reinforced the importance of transparent and accountable practices across programmes and projects.
“The course gave me a clear and structured understanding of the entire procurement cycle and increased my confidence in applying UNDP rules and procedures.” — Luiza Mirzaeva, participant
“CIPS Level 2 training is very important for my role as Administrative and Logistics Assistant in Health Project. It provided practical knowledge to make procurement more transparent, competitive, and cost-effective — essential for my daily work.” — Mirojiddin Salokhiddinov, participant.
As a result, Uzbekistan Country office staff are better equipped to apply global procurement standards in their daily work — driving greater efficiency, transparency, and impact across our projects country-wise.
