The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Ukraine is pleased to announce the results of the “Partners4Human Rights” grant competition, which was conducted as part of the “Human Rights for Ukraine, Phase II” (HR4U II) project.

The competition was implemented under the “Democratisation and Human Rights 2023–2026” programme, which is carried out by UNDP in Ukraine with financial support from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark.

A total of 25 project proposals were submitted to the competition by civil society and charitable organizations from across Ukraine. Following a thorough review and evaluation process, the Grant Selection Committee recommended three projects for funding based on their strong alignment with the competition’s priorities, as well as their potential impact and sustainability.

According to the decision of the Grant Selection Committee, the following projects have been selected for support:

  1. “Development and Piloting of an Updated Model for the Ombudsperson’s Regional Coordinators Network”
Implementing organisation: Association of Ukrainian Human Rights Monitors on Law Enforcement (UMDPL)
  2. “How Ukrainians Understand Human Rights (2016–2026): The Fifth Wave of the Study”
Implementing organisation: ZMINA Human Rights Centre
  3. “Information Rights in Action: Continuing the Initiative to Strengthen Ukraine’s Capacity to Guarantee Information Rights During Crisis”
Implementing organisation: Training and Consulting Centre on Access to Information NGO

We sincerely thank all of the organisations that submitted project proposals. The large amount of interest in the competition again demonstrates the active role of civil society in advancing human rights and democratic development in Ukraine.

We congratulate the grant-winning organisations and wish them every success in implementing their projects!
