Kyiv, Ukraine – The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Ukraine has officially launched a comprehensive awareness campaign aimed at preventing and addressing sexual harassment in the workplace.

The new campaign reinforces the organization’s commitment to maintaining a safe, respectful, and inclusive working environment for all personnel.

The campaign was developed under the leadership of PSEA Officer Hanna Doroshenko in response to feedback received through the 2025 UNDP Ukraine Personnel Survey on Sexual Harassment. The initiative reflects employees’ expressed needs for practical guidance, increased awareness, and accessible support mechanisms.

The campaign includes a comprehensive package of awareness and prevention materials, all developed in both English and Ukrainian, to ensure accessibility for all personnel. These materials include:

  • a step-by-step guide to recognizing, responding to, and reporting sexual harassment, with information on available support services and resolution pathways;
  • posters displayed across UNDP offices and hubs with information on reporting channels and available assistance;
  • illustrated leaflets depicting common workplace scenarios and highlighting avenues for reporting and support.

In addition, a dedicated Country Office mailing list has been established to provide confidential guidance and support, while practical guidance for UNDP-organized and UNDP-supported events offers staff and managers concrete recommendations for promoting respectful and safe interactions in professional settings.

The official launch event for the campaign brought together colleagues from across Ukraine, both in person and online. The event was joined by UNDP’s newly appointed deputy resident representative in Ukraine, Miodrag Dragišić, who highlighted the importance of preventing sexual harassment in the workplace and reaffirmed his strong support for advancing this agenda within UNDP Ukraine.

Through this campaign, UNDP Ukraine will continue to strengthen a workplace culture based on dignity, respect, accountability, and zero tolerance for sexual harassment, ensuring that all personnel have the knowledge and resources needed to contribute to a safe and supportive working environment.
