Forensic Pathologists Project

Forensic Pathologists Project

Trinidad and Tobago is a high-middle-income country with a stable political system but has been challenged by an upsurge in violence and crime, including homicides.  The Government of Trinidad and Tobago has prioritized addressing this issue and has been enhancing its crime-fighting capacity. In this regard, it has identified strengthening the human resource capacity of the Trinidad and Tobago Forensic Science Centre (TTFSC) of the Ministry of National Security as a key initiative.  The objective of this project is to improve the capacity of the TTFSC by providing hands-on support to deal with the various cases, and where possible provide training to staff as required, to ensure that the TTFSC can support law-enforcement agencies in a timely and professional manner.   This will be accomplished through the recruitment of two (2) Forensic Pathologists. The Forensic Pathologists would be assigned to the Ministry of National Security, Trinidad and Tobago Forensic Science Centre (TTFSC).
