Livelihood Improvement in Tajik– Afghan Cross-border Areas (LITACA) Phase-2

Project is funded by the Government of Japan through JICA at the total amount of US$ 3.8 million with the duration of January 2018 – December 2020. The Project is implemented in both sides of the Tajik-Afghan border and aims at promoting security and stability in the region through reducing poverty, supporting economic development and promoting cross-border collaboration between the communities along the Tajik-Afghan border.

Beneficiaries:	Population of cross-bordering areas, youth, unemployed, marginalized groups, returning migrants and entrepreneurs
Focus Area:	Cross-border trade development, cross-border economic cooperation and employment opportunity for population in bordering area
Partners:	Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of the Republic of Tajikistan, Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan and Local district administrations
