The path connects the villagers to neighboring areas of this channel, flanked by solid stone walls and complemented by four bridges, serves as a guardian against the floods that once swept away the fruits of their labor. Safeguarding 12 hectares of fertile land, the channel nurtures hope and sustenance for over 500 families. Where water once brought ruin, it now flows confined. The scars of past floods are healing, as no longer do families fear the loss of homes or the heartbreak of displacement, and the memory of lives lost to nature's fury finds solace in the security this channel now promise.

Gifted by President Paul Kagame through the Girinka programme, her cow's manure is now key to a daily routine that provides clean cooking energy for her family, a stark contrast to the risky searches for firewood she once endured.
