Gender Study on Climate Change Awareness and Preparedness in Rural Tajikistan

October 23, 2025

The “Gender Study on Climate Change Awareness and Preparedness in Rural Tajikistan”, conducted under the Adaptation Fund–financed project “An Integrated Landscape Approach to Enhancing Climate Resilience in Tajikistan”, examined how women and men access and manage natural resources in rural areas. The study assessed their levels of awareness, preparedness, and capacity to respond to climate change and related risks. It also explored gender-specific vulnerabilities and adaptation strategies, highlighting how communities plan for natural disasters and climate-induced emergencies. The findings provide valuable insights for designing more inclusive and equitable climate resilience policies and interventions.
