Entrepreneurs and the public in Kyiv Oblast gain two more business support points, offering consultations, educational programmes, and access to information on financial resources.
New ‘Made in Ukraine’ offices opened in Kyiv Oblast towns of Fastiv and Irpin
June 13, 2025
Kyiv, 11 June 2025 — Two new regional offices of the “Made in Ukraine” business-support initiative have been opened in Fastiv and Irpin, towns in Kyiv Oblast. The offices were opened with the support of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in Ukraine and the Government of Japan, and in partnership with the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine, the State Employment Service, the Kyiv Regional Employment Centre and the “CSR Development Centre” NGO.
The offices provide practical assistance to aspiring entrepreneurs of small and medium-sized businesses by offering consultations, educational programmes, access to information on financial resources, and points of interaction with the state and business ecosystems. They will also become platforms for the exchange of experience, the development of entrepreneurial skills, and the attraction of new opportunities for the regional business environment.
Fastiv and Irpin are suburban towns near the Ukrainian capital Kyiv with active business communities that require modern support mechanisms. The new “Made in Ukraine” offices will help local business owners, or those who are just starting out in business, to quickly adapt to new conditions, get advice on starting and developing a business, and become acquainted with current grant and financial opportunities from state and international organizations.
Today, there are already 88 “Made in Ukraine” offices supporting entrepreneurs in various regions across the country. They serve as platforms for fostering strong cooperation with government agencies, banks, support funds and other organizations that contribute to the sustainable development of small and medium-sized businesses. Notably, 11 out of the 88 offices began their work with assistance from UNDP in Ukraine and the Government of Japan.
During the opening of the offices, State Employment Centre Director Yulia Zhovtiak noted: “Kyiv Oblast is one of the regions that suffered due to Russia's armed aggression. At the same time, it’s here that we can see examples of incredible resilience and entrepreneurial energy. Since the beginning of the year, more than 5,000 new business entities have been registered. This is a signal that people are ready to work, invest, create jobs, develop the infrastructure of communities and the country's economy. The ‘Made in Ukraine’ offices are designed to provide reliable support for such initiatives.”
Oleksandr Palazov, Head of the Department of Regulatory Policy and Entrepreneurship of the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine, said: “‘Made in Ukraine’ offices based on the State Employment Service offer real support on the ground, so both employers and the public have the opportunity to get clear information: how to start or develop their own business, where to look for funding, with whom to interact, and how. Currently, one of the main problems of small and medium-sized businesses is access to information. That is why ‘Made in Ukraine’ offices are so important. Here entrepreneurs can learn everything about state and regional support.”
Natalia Gavatiuk, Deputy Head of the Kyiv Regional State Administration, said: “‘Made in Ukraine’ is about trust, quality and development. I wish the new offices in Kyiv Oblast a successful start, and all entrepreneurs fresh ideas and confidence on the way to realizing their dreams.”
Maryna Saprykina, Head of the Centre for CSR Development, emphasized that “‘Made in Ukraine’ offices are not just a place to learn about grants or programmes: This is a place where entrepreneurs are heard, their real needs are understood, and these requests are passed on to the national level.”
“What works in Kyiv often does not work in a small town, and we take this into account in our programmes. And if we collect these requests from the ground and attract partners, we will be able to build a really strong entrepreneurial ecosystem for the development and support of Ukraine's economy.”
Maksym Boroda, UNDP Economic Policy and Private Sector Development Project Manager, concluded: "We believe that strong small and medium-sized businesses are the foundation of economic resilience and social well-being. ‘Made in Ukraine’ offices are catalysts for development that help local entrepreneurs realize their potential and create jobs. These offices are a vivid example of how international cooperation can transform challenges into opportunities. With the support of the Government of Japan and partnerships with Ukrainian institutions, we’re providing entrepreneurs with the necessary resources to recover, grow and prosper!”
