This is the story of how the "Sanarip Aiyymdar" project opened doors to the world of digital employment opportunities for Aigerim from the small town of Kerben.

December 20, 2023

During the period of 2022-2023, the project "Digital Aiymdar" was successfully implemented, covering the Osh, Jalal-Abad, and Batken regions. The main goal of this project is to enhance the economic opportunities and rights of women in these regions by improving their information, digital, leadership, and communication skills. Over the course of a year, 180 women aged 15 to 34, enrolled in the project, received training in information and digital courses of their choice. As a result, in addition to IT and digital technology courses, 180 women from the three regions were able to enhance their qualifications by participating in specialized training on leadership and communication. Today, 50% of the 180 women who participated in the project are employed.

We share the stories of the participants of the "Digital Aiymdar" project.

"Hello, everyone! I'm Aigerim, a second-year student. I was born and raised in the small town of Kerben in the Jalal-Abad region. As of 2023, the population of Kerben is 14,185 people, ranking 23rd out of 31 cities in the country. I come from a large and close-knit family. My mom works as a nurse, my dad serves in the army, and I also have several sisters and brothers who are still in school. From a young age, I've watched my wonderful parents work tirelessly to provide us with everything we need. I really wanted to start earning money to at least cover my pocket expenses and, even better, to help them financially. But for my parents, our education was always a top priority, so they insisted that my main focus should be on studying. And, of course, it would have been difficult for them to afford paid courses. However, last year, I was able to receive training in SMM as part of the "Sanarip Aiymdar" project. Can you imagine how important this was for me? After all, the project expands opportunities for girls and women living in remote regions with limited access to education in digital professions, internet usage, and innovative technologies. We were trained by amazing instructors in 7 of the most relevant areas:

• Programming (Front-End Development)

• UX/UI Design

• Creating websites using builders and working with marketplaces

• Graphic design

• SMM and copywriting

• Mobile photography

• Motion design + animation

These courses are now a dream for everyone to take, but they are not accessible to everyone because they cost a lot of money. Many of them are conducted online, which doesn't have the same effect as offline learning. Our amazing instructors for mobile photography, Eldar Nurzhanov and Sanzhar Subankulov, immersed us in a world where wonders happen, and captivating and selling content is created. The project helped all of us see boundless opportunities for professional development and work on creating our own digital solutions. It was an incredible experience when our team prepared and presented our idea for creating a coffee library, where everyone can spend quality time, enjoy coffee, and read e-books. But most importantly, the project allowed me to increase my competitiveness and secure a coveted job in the field of SMM. It was incredibly gratifying that, among four worthy candidates, I was chosen, and now I can help my parents while balancing work and studies. And this is just the beginning!"
