“Mongolian National Multidimensional poverty index design and pilot results 2024” report was developed under the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) project “Strengthening Statistical Capacity for Sustainable Development” funded by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea. The report presents the development and first pilot application of Mongolia's national Multidimensional Poverty Index using data from the 2024 Household Socio-Economic Survey. Using the internationally recognized Alkire-Foster methodology, the national MPI comprises 15 indicators across four dimensions - health, education, employment, and living conditions - reflecting Mongolia's policy priorities and statistical context. The report documents the methodological process, including the selection of dimensions and indicators, weighting structure, poverty cut-off, statistical validation, and robustness testing, while presenting the first national and subnational pilot estimates of multidimensional poverty.
