Rostislav Marcișin is a dentist in a dental clinic in the municipality of Cahul and is also the founder of the "Fordent" business. The "Fordent" center deals with dental imaging and the manufacture of parts, dental and medical devices, being the first digital laboratory of its kind in Cahul.

"In 2020 the business was officially launched. Where did the idea come from? Most likely because I ran into problems of insufficiency and competent personnel in the technical-dental laboratory in the city of Cahul," remembers Rostislav Marcișin.

The "Fordent" center was among the winners of the grant competition for entrepreneurs and benefited from a grant worth 25,000 euros obtained through the "EU4Moldova: Focal Regions" programme, financed by the European Union and implemented by UNDP and UNICEF.

Thus, Rostislav Marcișin purchased a five-axis milling machine. This device supports the entire manufacturing cycle and thus Rostislav no longer calls on other dental laboratories.

"Thanks to this device, we closed the manufacturing cycle. We no longer call on secondary dental laboratories, we do from A to Z the entire process of making medical devices," notes Rostislav Marcișin.

Now, Rostislav's laboratory provides services for local dentists, but in the future he plans to expand his activity in Romania, in Galați.
