Join us for the Just and Sustainable Energy Transition Conference, an event co-organised with the Ministry of Oil and Gas and the European Union, dedicated to advancing responsible business practices and a just energy transition within Libya’s oil and gas sector. Building on the momentum from Libya’s first Conference on Business and Human Rights (June 2025), this conference is a timely platform for national and international experts to address critical issues facing the industry.
This event which is genrously funded by the European Union will bring together national and international experts to explore how companies can align with global standards like the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights (UNGPs) and the new EU Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (CS3D). The CS3D, in particular, has a direct impact on Libya’s energy sector, and the conference will provide key insights on how companies and government institutions can strengthen compliance, implement due diligence, and position Libya as a leader in sustainable investment and renewable energy development.
