The study on “Calculating the Quarrying Sector’s Dues to the National Treasury” aims at calculating the compensations owed to the Government of Lebanon due to the mismanagement of the quarry sector. It builds on the national survey undertaken by the Lebanese Armed Forces as per article 61 of the 2019 budget law and decree 6569/2020. It is prepared by the United Nations Development Programme and the Ministry of Environment, based on one of the priorities identified in the “Lebanon State of the Environment and Future Outlook: Turning the Crises into Opportunities” (SOER2020).
