Grants For MSMEs Working in The Wheat Value Chain

This grant is designed to support micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) involved in Lebanon’s wheat value chain. It provides financial and technical assistance to help businesses sustain operations, expand production, and recover from economic challenges. The grant aims to strengthen food security, safeguard jobs, and support local economic recovery.
This initiative is implemented by UNDP and funded by the German Government through KfW Development Bank.
Who is Eligible?
You may apply if your business meets all of the following criteria:
- Operates within the wheat value chain: including production, processing, packaging, storage, or manufacturing of wheat-based products.
- Formally registered with the Commercial Register, Ministry of Economy and Trade, or relevant authority.
- Operating for at least 1 year and is not home-based.
- Produces and sells goods in the local market.
- Has not received over $5,000 in UNDP support in the past 2 years.
- Fits one of the following business sizes:
Micro: 1–5 employees, turnover < $300,000
Small: 6–20 employees, turnover < $1,000,000
Medium: 21–50 employees, turnover < $3,000,000
You can use the grant to:
- Invest in new or upgraded machinery/equipment
- Improve production facility infrastructure to meet quality and safety standards
- Upgrade to energy-efficient tools to lower costs
- Improve market outreach via:
E-commerce platforms or online marketplaces
Retail promotions and listing in stores
Grantees also receive technical assistance to enhance product quality and market access
What does the grant cover?
- Cash and in-kind assistance to purchase essential materials, equipment, or machinery, as well as their rehabilitation.
- Training and support in areas such as business management, market access, and sustainability practices.

- Submit your full application via the UNDP application portal by: 3 October 2025
- Applications submitted by email, courier, or in person will not be accepted.
- All documents must be in Arabic or English, and budgets must be in USD.
