Easy and Interesting Birds to Spot in Kyrgyzstan

April 1, 2022

Kyrgyzstan is home to 407 species of birds, of which 57 are listed in the country’s Red book, meaning they require special attention for protection and conservation, and 15 species are globally recognized as endangered. In light of Bird Day 2022, UNDP is showcasing a photo collection of birds which can be seen around Kyrgyzstan, to reinstate our commitment towards protecting and preserving the biodiversity of the country.

Within our UNDP/GEF project on conservation of globally significant biodiversity of the Western Tian Shan, we promote environmental awareness and protect rare and endangered species of animals and plants.
