BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, November 5, 2022 – More than a thousand people gathered at the Fall Festival of Creative Industries of Kyrgyzstan CREATE4KG in support of development of  creative economy and the entire community of creative people. This is the second CREATE4 festival this year to launch a sustainable dialogue platform for key stakeholders in the creative industries and promote the branding of the creative industries in Kyrgyzstan and Central Asia.

“We are glad that, as a result of consolidated efforts of various stakeholders, Kyrgyzstan is making history with the establishment of a Park of Creative Industries. We hope that this will have significant impact on enhancing income-generating opportunities, promote export-oriented products, create new jobs, revitalize traditional economic sectors and stimulate regional development,” – said Louise Chamberlain, UNDP Kyrgyzstan Resident Representative.

The importance of strengthening creative economy was reinforced by President Sadyr Japarov’s decree as of April this year "On measures to develop a creative economy and establish conditions for the progressive development of the Kyrgyz Republic". According to the decree, the creative economy is defined as one of the priority areas of the state policy. President decided to approve the Concept of Creative Economy Development in Kyrgyz Republic, identifying classification of creative industries, and establishing park of creative industries.

#CREATE4KG – is a unique platform for the development and support of the creative community of Kyrgyzstan designed and organized by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in the Kyrgyz Republic and Association of Creative Industries of Kyrgyzstan (ACI).

“We, as the Association, are pleased to realize that the CREATE4 Festival is turning into a platform for mutual exchange of opinions and information, both among the creators themselves and for those interested in the growth of an innovative approach to solving the problems of socio-economic development of the Kyrgyz community. The creative community of the country not only observes the positive trends in the development of legislative norms in support of creative economy, but also takes an active part in establishing conditions for the ecosystem of creation. Members of Association are ready and willing to continue the dialogue with partners from government agencies and the international community for the sake of developing #ZharatmanKyrgyzstan and Creative Central Asia," – said Nazgul Kubakaeva, Director of Association of Creative Industries.

CREATE4 is the first such large-scale platform in Kyrgyzstan, where about a thousand participants of different ages, involved or interested in the professions of the creative industries, participated. Successful representatives of art, music, IT, digital professions, and other creative industries shared their experience.
