Hardly any would confess that being a woman is not difficult to access the labour market in Kosovo, especially concerning social and economic norms. This is officially evidenced in the latest report published by the Kosovo Agency of Statistics, displaying a female labour rate of only 22.0 %. Repatriation is another drawback that renders their inability to work. Nonetheless, there are those exceptional women who keep springing out of the dire straits.

When encountering her heedful approach toward work, and life overall, it makes you drop out of any doubt hindering you from conquering your dreams. However, life is not all about dreams! Sometimes, life leads you to unkind and tough situations, completely unforeseen and unprepared for. But “You lead life and not the opposite”, says Xhevrije Shkodra – beneficiary of the Self-Employment Programme (SEP).
