Shqipe Delija maintains her steady focus on the job as she considers the question of what her work means to her. For Shqipe, who is from Gjakova/Đakovica, it’s more than simply a profession.
“Once you’ve given it your all, you’ll have a full understanding of both its advantages and disadvantages, which will allow you to thread the needle that lets you see more clearly in life,” she says. “It’s absolutely worth every single step I’ve taken, as I’ve adapted to every challenge that led me here, in front of this sewing machine.”
Shqipe’s tailor’s shop, which recently opened in Gjakova/Đakovica city centre, tailors both traditional and contemporary clothing in a spotless and energetic working environment. Shqipe herself is a well-known local businesswoman who began carrying out her profession from home decades ago.
