Small arms and light weapons are used in 80% of crimes in Jamaica. Through SALIENT, a joint Government of Jamaica/ United Nations initiative, Jamaica aims to disrupt supplies by supporting capacity building, policy and legislative reforms, research and peace building interventions. Partners and beneficiaries confirm early results.
