Accelerating the ‘Decade of Action’ and furthering SDG localisation, the first edition of the North Eastern Region (NER) District SDG (Sustainable Development Goals) Index Report 2021–22 is collaborative effort between NITI Aayog, Ministry of Development of Northeast Region (MDoNER) and UNDP. This report assesses the 120 districts within the 8 States: Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Mizoram, Nagaland, Manipur, Meghalaya, Tripura and Sikkim, on 84 indicators across 15 SDGs and 50 targets. The NER District SDG Index Report and Dashboard celebrates achievements and identifies areas for focused attention for achieving sustainable development in the region. The index will foster peer learning and enable SDG monitoring at the sub-national level, 'leaving no-one behind.'
