The report  highlights the initiatives undertaken by UNDP as part of the GEF-supported “Market Transformation” project towards enabling the adoption of Solar Water Pump by small and marginal farmers in Jharkhand with the objectives of enhancing farmer's income, prevent migration, and decarbonizing of the agriculture sector.

Based on in-depth assessment of primary and secondary information, the report outlines the key socio-economic and environmental impact of institutionalization of PM-KUSUM scheme and recommends strategies that could enhance the sustainability of Solar Water Pump promotion.
