Achim Steiner’s Media Interviews

 

The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Administrator, Achim Steiner, was in India from July 17-18 for the G20 Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors (FMCBG) meetings in Gandhinagar as a representative of the UN Secretary-General in the Finance Track.

During his visit, he interacted with the media and highlighted the human cost of inaction on the debt crisis and its increasing burden on developing countries.  He reiterated the urgent need for a Debt-Poverty Pause to mitigate poverty until the multilateral system addresses debt restructuring at speed and scale.
