About fifty young people from different neighborhoods of the capital participated in the launch of the 2nd edition of the activities of the young leaders program called "Youth Leadership Program"

This event initiated by the association Good Planet Africa and Femme TIC with the support of the UNDP in the framework of the Youth Leadership Programme aimed to detect and raise awareness among young Djiboutians about the sustainable development goals and encourage them to actively participate in this second edition of the YLP

Launched for the first time in the Republic of Djibouti in 2020, the mission of the Youth Leadership Program is to invest in young women and men in the Arab region to develop their potential to become social innovators, leaders, and make significant changes in their communities, countries, and the Arab region. Sponsored and in partnership with the Arab Youth Center, the program offers young people a unique platform to develop their skills and support innovation and creativity.

The Youth Leadership Program (YLP) was launched in 2015 to build the most dynamic network in the Arab region working at the intersection of youth, innovation and sustainable development. It provides young people with advanced methods that can turn their ideas into projects, empowering them to implement them on a scientific basis and achieve sustainable and positive change.

This Thursday, the launch of the activities of the Youth Leadership program in Djibouti brought together young people from different neighborhoods to raise awareness and inspire them to create projects in several areas, namely, entrepreneurship, the environment, climate, new information technologies and many other important perspectives such as gender equality.

This event was also an opportunity for the association GoodPlanet Africa and Femme TIC to share with the youth their experiences and their taste for creation as representatives of their respective associations. All speakers urged young Djiboutians to take advantage of this opportunity and participate massively in the activities proposed under the YLP program created specifically for the youth of the Arab region.
