Nicosia, 8 November 2022 – UNDP, with the financial support of the European Union, recently published a tender for ITB (Invitation for Bid) for the LIF project, "Energy Efficiency Projects at Lefka/Lefke - ITB-UNDP-CYP-00001’’.
The tender for the energy efficiency projects in Lefka/Lefke was launched on 3rd November 2022. The deadline for receipt of bids is 1st December 2022.
The overall objective of the project is to generate energy savings through key investments in the operation of the Local Community services and to increase the production of renewable energy. Amongst, the energy efficiency measures is the introduction of automation and SCADA systems for the Local Community water pumping system and the replacement of water reservoirs. At least 30% of energy savings are expected. From all investments, annual CO2 emission will be reduced to close to 750 tons.
