January 1, 2021

Rizokarpaso/Dipkarpaz, 23 October 2015 – Sixteen journalists from both communities travelled to Apostolos Andreas Monastery on Friday 23 October 2015 as a part of a media site visit organized by the Technical Committee on Cultural Heritage and UNDP.

The media site visit was part of a routine monitoring programme, carried out by the Technical Committee on Cultural Heritage to on-going cultural heritage project sites and was organized to mark one year since the beginning of the restoration works.

Phase 1 of the “Restoration of Apostolos Andreas” project is a two-year project (2014-2016) funded by the Church of Cyprus and the EVKAF Administration and implemented by UNDP.

Journalists were invited to see the practical results of the efficient cooperation between the Greek Cypriot and Turkish Cypriot joint venture and were updated on the latest ongoing works.

More information on the current status of the works are available on the project page.
