Revival: Leveraging cultural, scientific knowledge and practices for environmental conservation in Tali

July 7, 2022

It takes a village to revive a dying lake. This publication captures Tali lake conservation project which revitalised the lake that was plagued by invasive plant species. The lake is a critical water source for the quaint Tali village in Bhutan's south-central district of Zhemgang and its surrounding biodiversity. The local community was the driving force behind this conservation work supported by Loden Foundation, Department of Forest and Park Services (Zhemgang Division), National Biodiversity Centre and GEF- Small Grants Programme, UNDP.
