Call for Proposals

Sustaining ecological, social, and economic resilience to climate change through community and stakeholder engagement and partnership

October 29, 2025

The GEF-Small Grants Programme (SGP), implemented by UNDP in partnership with the Royal Government of Bhutan, invites proposals from Civil Society Organisations and Community-Based Organisations, aligning with the SGP’s Operational Phase 8 (OP-8) Country Programme Strategy.

The six eastern districts, namely Mongar, Lhuentse, Samdrup Jongkhar, Pema Gatshel, Trashigang and Trashi Yangtse, with a focus on Pema Gatshel, are identified as within the landscape for SGP’s OP-8. Forty (40) per cent of grant funding will be allocated to community-based projects addressing climate and environmental-related challenges within this area. The remaining funds (60%) will support similar projects in 14 districts outside the landscape area.

The deadline for proposal submission is 10 December 2025. Please submit your proposals HERE.
