The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) has launched its new Country Programme for Albania 2027–2031, a five-year framework to support the country’s development priorities as it advances towards European Union (EU) membership and accelerates progress towards the 2030 Agenda and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). 

The programme is structured around three interconnected priorities: inclusive human capital development; sustainable economic transformation and inclusive green growth; and governance, justice and human rights. It responds to Albania’s National Strategy for Development and European Integration 2022–2030 and the UN Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework 2027–2031, while contributing to UNDP’s global Strategic Plan 2026–2029.
