Report of the annual public opinion poll in Albania “Trust in Governance 2021”, 9th edition

Supported by UNDP since its launch in 2013 to measure public trust in government institutions following the membership of Albania in the Open Government Partnership, the “Trust in Governance” opinion poll findings provide insights on public perceptions and attitudes on an annual basis and trends across years on matters such as: trust, transparency, accountability, level of corruption, satisfaction with public services, citizen engagement in policy and decision-making, as well as enforcement of non-discriminatory laws and policies, supplemented also by select key current affairs issues.

The opinion poll is conducted by the Institute for Democracy and Mediation (IDM). Since 2020, it is funded in in the framework of the donor pool fund project “Consolidation of Citizen Centric Public Service Delivery in Albania” (CSDA), implemented by the Government of Albania in partnership with UNDP, and with Austrian Development Cooperation (ADC) as key contributor, together with UNDP.
