“National Monitoring of the SDG Indicator 1.3.1” measures the progress of implementation of SDG indicator 1.3.1, which links social protection provision with the goal of poverty reduction: Proportion of population covered by social protection floors/systems, by sex, distinguishing children, unemployed persons, older persons, persons with disabilities, pregnant women, newborns, work injury victims and the poor and the vulnerable.

This indicator measures the percentage of the eligible population covered by the social safety nets. It focuses exclusively on coverage, being an outcome indicator relating to coverage in terms of the proportion of the population covered by social protection floors/systems disaggregated by socioeconomic or demographic group. The indicator 1.3.1 under this exercise is calculated based on the official national data for year 2021.
