Extended Deadline

The United Nations Development Programme office in Albania hereby publishes the call for partnership with interested municipalities in Albania, in the context of Regional Programme on Local Democracy in the Western Balkans 3 (ReLOaD3) funded by the European Union. This call aims to establish partnerships with 4 municipalities in Albania, that will be part of a grant scheme with an amount from 80,000 – 130,000 USD for each of the municipalities for a period of around 40 months. This grant scheme will be directly used to support the civil society organizations that will offer public services in line with the priorities set up by the given municipalities. The grant will be managed in collaboration between the selected municipalities and ReLOaD3 project.

The call is open for all the municipalities in Albania, expect for the ReLOaD1 and ReLOaD2 18 partner municipalities, and the selection of 4 municipalities will be done in an objective and transparent manner in line with the criteria that are explained at the Guide for applicants.

Applicants must adhere to the format of the Application Form and in accordance with the required information, submit the necessary documentation. The municipality is expected to submit the required documentation from application set: Application Form and a Letter of Intent, together with supporting documents. All documents must be duly completed in Albanian language, signed, and certified in accordance with the requirements of each forms.

The Letter of Intent and supporting documentation should be submitted in 1 (one) original (or certified copy) set of documents in hard copy and 1 (one) electronic copy (USB) in a sealed envelope by registered mail, private courier service or in person at the following address:

Final deadline for submission of applications is extended till 23 June 2025, at 17:00

Applications submitted after this extended deadline, or which are submitted to other addresses will not be considered. Applications submitted in other ways other than the explained in this call (ex. fax, etc.) will also not be considered.

If further information and clarifications are needed, the municipality can contact UNDP in Albania, via e-mail: reload.al@undp.org with the reference to the ReLOaD3 programme in title of the e-mail. Answers to the questions will be submitted in writing no later than 3 (three) working days after receipt.
