2021 UNDP-Japan funded projects

UNDP Africa is implementing a total 26 UNDP-Japan funded projects worth over $34.6 million USD in 20 countries (namely: Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Central Africa, DRC, Ethiopia, Ghana, Guinea-Bissau, Kenya, Malawi, Mali, Mauritius, Namibia, Niger, Nigeria, Rwanda, South Africa, South Sudan, Tanzania, Togo, and Uganda). The 2021 UNDP-Japan funded project covers the following thematic area; 1) Peace and Security, Social protection, Community livelihood support, etc. 2) COVID-19 response and health, etc. 3) PKO support. The largest thematic area Peace and Security, Social protection, Community livelihood support, etc. covers 69% ($24 million) of the approved amount, followed by the COVID-19 response and health, etc. which covers 19% ($7 million), and PKO support covers about 12% ($4 million) of the total approved amount.
