2020 UNDP-Japan funded projects

The 2020 UNDP-Japan funded project was doubled since the successful holding of TICAD VII Yokohama summit in August 2019. In 2020, UNDP Africa began implementing 26 UNDP-Japan funded projects over USD 40 million in 20 countries (Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Central Africa, Congo Brazzaville, Ethiopia, Ghana, Guinea, Ivory Coast, Kenya, Mali, Nigeria, Mauritius, Mozambique, Rwanda, South Africa, South Sudan, Uganda, and Zambia). The projects cover the following thematic areas: Peace and Stability, Disaster Recovery and Resilience, Human Security and Nexus, Peacekeeping Operations support, Electoral Assistance, COVID-19 response, and ID digitalization.
