The United Nations Development Programme's (UNDP) partnership with Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) and United Arab of Emirates (UAE) has helped fight the epidemic spread of cholera striking Yemen.

Through the USD $3 million Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) Emergency Response Project, safe and clean water sources and appropriate sanitation and hygiene services have been provided. The project helped vulnerable households in area cholera-affected by building cisterns and toilets.
