Web accessibility of state authorities’ websites. 2024 study

Web accessibility of state authorities’ websites. 2024 study

March 5, 2025

This is the fourth study of the basic accessibility of 100 government online resources in 2024.

It has been conducted since 2021 according to a specially developed methodology. The monitoring study enables the accessibility of public bodies’ websites to be assessed, identifying the most common problems and helping to eliminate them.

The study helps establish how many state websites in Ukraine are fully compliant with digital accessibility requirements, what trends are observed in improving the inclusivity of web resources, and which state bodies have made the most progress in this regard.

The report was authored by Dmytro Popov, a digital accessibility specialist at the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Ukraine, and a certified specialist of the International Association of Web Accessibility Specialists.

The results of previous studies for 20232022 and 2021 are also available.

The monitoring study was carried out at the end of 2024 by UNDP in Ukraine together with the Digital Accessibility Competence Centre as part of the DIA Support project, which is implemented with financial support from Sweden.
