Micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) provide about 60% of jobs and 20% of Ukraine’s GDP. To restore the economy of the state affected by the war, it is vital to provide entrepreneurs with conditions for comfortable work and profit.

Given the global trend of digitisation of commercial activities and the economic shutdown caused by the full-scale war, the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Ukraine aims to support micro, small and medium-sized enterprises that continue to operate in wartime. Some entrepreneurs were forced to move their businesses from the east and south of Ukraine or are still working in the government-controlled areas of Ukraine. To help them recover from the crisis and become more resilient, UNDP is launching an initiative to assist Ukrainian businesses with developing, launching, and promoting online stores.

An online store is an effective tool for conducting commercial activities. Therefore, women and men entrepreneurs transferring their activities online will strengthen resilience to crises, replenish local budgets, and help restore the labour market. Support includes the development of a commercial website and a starter package to promote the presentation and sale of goods or services online.

Learn more about the MSMEs support programme and apply to participate until 20:00 on 18 September 2022 by the following link.

The initiative is implemented by UNDP within the UN Recovery and Peacebuilding Programme with the financial support of the European Union.
