Kyiv, 30 November 2023 – In the dynamic landscape of business membership organizations (BMOs), the effective management of member relationships is paramount. Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems have emerged as indispensable tools for BMOs, empowering them to communicate efficiently with many members, thereby ensuring sustained engagement and growth.

Recognizing the pivotal role of CRM systems in BMOs, the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), under its Swiss-Ukrainian project "Strengthening MSME Business Membership Organizations in Ukraine" took proactive steps to equip BMOs with the necessary tools and knowledge. UNDP conducted training sessions for 25 partner-BMOs on effectively leveraging CRM systems and procuring CRM systems for them.

CRM systems have revolutionized the way BMOs interact with their members. They serve as centralized hubs for managing and analyzing member data, allowing organizations to tailor communications, track engagement, and provide personalized experiences.  Implementing CRM systems in BMOs is not just about managing contacts; it's a strategic move toward fostering long-term relationships and driving organizational success.

According to Mykola Savulyak, the head of the Business Community Club, one of UNDP`s partner-BMOs "The introduction of CRM systems has been a game-changer for our organization. We can now effectively engage with our 21,000 members regularly, keeping them informed, involved, and excited about our activities. This has not only strengthened our existing member base but has also been instrumental in attracting new members to join our vibrant community."

One of the key outcomes of UNDP's support of CRM is the ability for BMOs to explore the info-membership system. This innovative approach enables organizations to significantly expand their member pool with businesses that don`t have opportunities or don`t want to be engaged in the development of the organization but are interested in staying updated on the news and opportunities for business-community. By leveraging the capabilities of CRM systems, BMOs can efficiently manage these extended lead bases, ensuring that each member receives content and opportunities tailored to their specific needs and interests.

The introduction of CRM systems and the support from UNDP have positioned BMOs to experience rapid growth in their membership numbers. With the ability to engage with members on a more personal level, BMOs can attract and retain a diverse range of members, contributing to the overall vibrancy and effectiveness of the organization.

This landmark event was part of the UNDP`s project "Strengthening member business associations of micro, small and medium-sized enterprises in Ukraine" implemented in cooperation with the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine and with the support of Switzerland.
