SMEs That Aim to Adapt to the New Age Meet At “I Can Manage My Business” Webinars

I Can Manage My Business training programme running in cooperation with the Turkish Enterprise and Business Confederation (TÜRKONFED), Visa and the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) along with the support of 30 banks and e-money institutions, is on-going through webinars. The first of the three-week trainings that was moved to the digital environment in order for SMEs to improve their digital skills and benefit from the opportunities in this field was held on Wednesday, April 29 at 10:00-13:00. The open access trainings will teach SMEs subjects about sustainability that will have a large role in future economy such as digital competency, access to funding, risk management, supply chain management, and tracking business plans in uncertain periods. I Can Manage My Business project, apart from the abovementioned trainings, will also provide digitalization support to the SMEs that aim to move their businesses to e-commerce.

27 April 2020 — I Can Manage My Business, implemented since 2019 by the collaboration of Turkish Enterprise and Business Confederation, Visa and the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) and the support of 30 banks and e-money institutions, continues to expand the knowledge and skills of SMEs that are necessary in reaching their growth potential. Until this day, in six cities, approximately 1,000 SMEs have been lectured in 10 separate fields such as digitalization, accounting, international commerce and institutionalizing family corporations by the lecturers and experts of Boğaziçi University Center for Innovation and Competition Based Development Studies.

I Can Manage My Business Project aims to contact SMEs and continue to empower them through online trainings in light of recent changes in medical circumstances. The content of digitalization was designed in a way that SMEs can shift their current business to the digital environment swiftly. The academic information provided by the lecturers of Boğaziçi University will be further supported by practical information provided by the top e-commerce platforms of Turkey and corporations that provide e-commerce infrastructure. Further, selected SMEs participating in these trainings and aiming to digitalize will be provided consultancy and e-marketing support.
