April 27, 2020

"Life is Simpler with the Internet for Women with a Goal" Project, launched in cooperation with Türk Telekom, the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB), Habitat Association and the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), continues to support women's entrepreneurship.

"Life is Simpler with the Internet for Women with a Goal" Project, which is realized in cooperation with Türk Telekom, TOBB, Habitat Association and UNDP, continues with the activities of the social solidarity group "Imece 2006".

Volunteer women from Imece 2006, who aim to provide scholarships to university students by selling their hand-made crafts from materials they have in their homes, attended an online training to continue their operations.

The training was given by Habitat Association and carried out online within the framework of physical isolation rules.

Supporting the participation of women in the production economy, the project has provided trainings to women entrepreneurs and women with entrepreneurial potential on information and communication technologies, e-services, and effective use of social platforms for promotion, sales and e-commerce.

The project, which has reached nearly 1.250 women since September 2019, aims to introduce 5.000 women to digital marketing in 81 provinces by the end of 2020, and to give mentoring support to 100 women to develop their businesses.

In the first online training of the project, which was accessible to everyone free of charge during the lockdown period, participants received training on topics including digital marketing, target audience selection, promotion of products or services, determining which social media channels to use for sales, turning Instagram accounts into professional accounts, advertising, and activating the Facebook page and store feature. Participants also had the opportunity to get information about product photography and presentation, and e-commerce.
