Powering Progress: Recent Advancements in the ACCESS Project

The Accelerating Clean Energy Access to Reduce Inequality (ACCESS) Project
aims to support the poor and most vulnerable communities to have equitable
and sustainable access to essential services for improving their livelihoods. the
project is implemented in 2020-2023 in 23 villages in four provinces in
Indonesia (East Nusa Tenggara, West Sulawesi, South-East Sulawesi, and
Central Kalimantan provinces) and 25 villages in three municipalities of Timor-
Leste (Municipality of Atauro, Bobonaro, and Manatuto). The ACCESS Project is
funded from the grant of USD 18,028,509 from the Korea International
Cooperation Agency (KOICA) Indonesia.

The Solar Water Pump Construction in Laclo, Manatutu municipality in Timor-Leste was launched through the realization of a cultural ceremony. Four (4) villages in Manatuto municipality namely, Tahagamu, Hatuermera 1, Hatuermera 2, and Hatuanahun, with a total of 257 households, will directly benefit from the clean water which will be supplied by the solar water pump.
