The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) set out a framework of 17 Goals and 169 targets to tackle the world’s most pressing social, economic and environmental challenges in the lead-up to 2030. The private sector, with its unparalleled reach, is increasingly recognized as a key partner in development critical for delivering sustainable development outcomes and effectively achieving the 2030 Agenda.

The SDG Guidebook for Listed Companies is designed to act as a practical guideline for listed companies to integrate SDGs into their operations and strategies, as well as to introduce them to the SDG Impact Measurement and Management (IMM) framework with a view to adopting the IMM approach in aligning their sustainability report with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC)’s 56-1 One Report Requirements.  Identifying and prioritizing impacts and aligning their business activities with the Global Goals will allow companies to better understand and respond to potential business risks and opportunities while also effectively meeting stakeholder's demands, allocating future resources, and ensuring continuous innovation.

Through various practical examples, the Guidebook will help companies better understand the challenges that each goal is seeking to address, the ways in which each goal is relevant to business, and how business leaders can take action to mitigate risks and grasp opportunities that each goal presents.
