Tanzania INFF case study: Integrating Financial Frameworks at National and Local Levels

April 9, 2026

This case study examines how Tanzania is using an Integrated National Financing Framework (INFF) to mobilize sustainable financing for development at both national and subnational levels. Through measures such as strengthening domestic resource mobilization, exploring SDG-themed bonds, developing SDG investor maps, and building pipelines of bankable projects, Tanzania is working to align public and private finance with national development priorities. The experience highlights the importance of strong institutions, localized financing approaches, and international cooperation to translate financing strategies into concrete development outcomes.
