The Energy, Climate Change and Disaster Risk Management Portfolio accelerate Tanzania’s transition to a low-carbon, climate-resilient future. It promotes renewable energy, energy efficiency, e-mobility, and access to clean cooking, while supporting national efforts to adapt to climate change and strengthen disaster preparedness. Anchored in SDGs 7 and 13, the portfolio helps build resilience to climate shocks, reduce emissions, and ensure vulnerable communities can withstand crises. By linking innovation, policy reform, and community-based solutions, and by empowering women and youth to participate in and benefit from the transition, it enables Tanzania to power its growth sustainably while protecting people and planet
