Just nu söker vi en kommunikatör som vill öka människors kunskap och engagemang för Globala målen och FN:s arbete. Fokus för tjänsten är:

  • Digital kommunikation
  • Kampanjer och sociala medier
  • Event och lanseringar

Som en del av vårt team får du arbeta med globala frågor och hållbar utveckling i händelsernas centrum. Du blir en del av UNDP:s globala organisation, men med placering på det lokala kontoret på Norrsken i Stockholm.

UNDP’s Nordic Representation Office (NRO) is located in Copenhagen with satellite offices in Norway, Finland and Sweden. It serves as a liaison and communication office, which works to share knowledge and raise awareness about UNDP’s mandate, work and results. NRO works both as a liaison office between UNDP’s headquarter in New York and the Nordic member states, and as a communication office, which focuses on reaching the public through the media, public events, presentations, field trips and cooperation with Nordic stakeholders, including civil society, private sector, and schools and research institutions.  

Under the guidance and direct supervision of the Partnerships and Communication Specialist, the Communications Associate supports the formulation and implementation of communications strategies to increase awareness and knowledge of the work of the United Nations and global development, including the Sustainable Development Goals to the public and key audiences. The Communications Associate promotes a client-oriented approach in UNDP.

The Communications Associate works in close collaboration with staff in the Nordic Representation Office, staff of other UN organizations, Government officials, media, youth, civil society and other partners.

Duties and Responsibilities

Supports the formulation and implementation of communications strategies

  • Provision of inputs and information for strategies and communication programme design;
  • Coordination and adaptation of UNDP global campaigns and initiatives for a Swedish audience;
  • Coordination and implementation of joint UN information campaigns and initiatives;
  • Support the monitoring, evaluation, and analysis of communications efforts;
  • Support reporting to external partner on communications results.

Editor of digital platforms 

  • Contributes to strategies and plans to enhance digital communications with the purpose of increasing knowledge and engagement in development issues, including the Sustainable Development Goals;
  • Updates, maintains and develops digital platforms, such as websites and interactive tools, including www.globalamålen.se; 
  • Supports the development of campaigns and content for social media platforms;
  • Develops communications assets and materials for digital platforms;
  • Prepares campaign kits and content for partner platforms as needed;
  • Under guidance, project manage digital communications initiatives as needed.

Supports external engagement efforts 

  • Under guidance, responsible for event management of knowledge-sharing events such as seminars, briefings and report launches, including liaising with external and internal stakeholders, logistics and event marketing;
  • Under guidance, responsible for the development of communications materials for marketing and awareness-raising, including briefing materials and media materials.

Ensures facilitation of knowledge building and management 

  • Support in identification, documentation and drafting of best practices and lessons learned;
  • Organization of training for staff on effective digital communications as needed.

Required Skills and Experience

Education:

Secondary Education with at least seven (6) years relevant experience, or Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Media Relations, Journalism or related with relevant experience of at least three (3) years;

Master’s degree in Communications, Media Relations, Journalism or related is an asset.

Experience:

A minimum of 3 years relevant experience of working with communications, project management, event management, or similar;

3-6 years of relevant experience in providing communication packages to promote the activities of international development organization;

Experience in the usage of computers and office software packages (MS Word, Excel, etc.);

Experience in handling of web-based management systems.

Language Requirements:

Fluency in English and Swedish is a requirement; 

Other official language of the UN will be desirable.
