As a Principal Recipient (PR) of the Global Fund, UNDP supports the Ministry of Health and South Sudan AIDS Commission in their mission to end HIV/AIDS and Tuberculosis while building resilient and sustainable health systems. By managing the procurement, storage, and distribution of essential drugs and laboratory reagents, this partnership ensures that life-saving services reach over 260 hospitals and health facilities nationwide.
Since 2004, the Global Fund has implemented 12 grants in South Sudan, covering HIV, TB, malaria, and Health Systems Strengthening (RSSH). UNDP has served as the PR for nine of these grants, including the successful management of malaria reduction targets between 2004 and 2010. Highlights of our results over the years.
