From Insight to Implementation: Delivering FfD4 Commitments on Financial Integrity and Governance

June 30, 2025

This is part of a series of symposia-related working papers of UNDP’s Finance, Integrity and Governance (FIG) Initiative, intended to support deliberations of the 4th International Conference on Financing for Development (FfD4). It is targeted at FfD4 negotiators and stakeholders. This paper condenses the outcomes of three FIG symposia held between May 2024 and April 2025 with two objectives:

  1. Provide FfD4 stakeholders (esp. delegates) with a high-level summary of key insights and recommendations from the FIG symposia as they go into Sevilla;
  2. Look ahead to what needs to happen after Sevilla. Identify action areas to help governments, funders, and others to strategize and act to advance the implementation of FfD4 commitments in ways that strengthen financial integrity and governance (i.e. the effectiveness, inclusiveness, and accountability) of the financial system. This aligns with the idea behind the Sevilla Platform for Action.
